John Bishop co-hosts Unsportsmanlike Conduct on 1620 The Zone.


Bishop, a 20-year Nebraska sportscaster in Lincoln and Omaha radio markets, Bishop has been play-by-play voice for Creighton Baseball, The College World Series and has worked as a sports reporter for NET’s coverage of State Football Championships and College Baseball. In addition, he has hosted the pre- and post-game shows for UNL Husker Football and was the play-by-play host for 10-11 television coverage of the Boys and Girls State Basketball Championships.


Bishop’s broadcast career began on the Husker Radio Network at KLIN in September 1993. Since then, he has served as Station Sports Director, News Director and Executive Producer of Pinnacle Sports Network before being names Program Director in 2005. His on-air credits include host of Husker network pre- and post-game programming, host of Sports Nightly, a popular statewide sports talk program, television host of the State High School Basketball tournament and radio play-by-play announcer for both Creighton University and University of Nebraska baseball.



Josh Peterson joined 1620 The Zone in February of 2012 and has been co-host of Unsportsmanlike Conduct since August 2014. He attended the University of Nebraska-Lincoln and started full-time in radio before graduating with a Journalism degree. Josh also serves as the play-by-play voice for Creighton soccer.

Josh is a fan of all major sports: football, basketball, baseball and hockey, as well as soccer, golf, and tennis.

Josh has an incredible work ethic and is an asset to The Zone with his wit, passion and love of sports.
