After Hours
Jimmie Allen has been part of the Nebraska Media for over 13 years. From 2007 to 2010, he worked in The Omaha World-Herald Sports Department writing stories on everything going on in high school sports to college athletics.
From 2010 to 2011, Jimmie moved to the City Desk at the World-Herald where he covered current events in the city of Omaha, and helped with a food column.
Wanting to get back to his love of sports, Jimmie went on to work for Rivals.com in 2012 where he covered national high school football recruiting for the main Rivals site.
After Rivals.com was bought by Yahoo sports, Jimmie took over HuskerCorner.com. He was the Editor in Chief of Husker Corner from 2014 to 2017, covering all Husker athletics. While at Husker Corner, he started an award winning podcast called “Husker Corner Radio.”
In 2019, Jimmie Allen came to 1620 The Zone and in early 2021 he started “After Hours.”
